Ambulance service urges bikers to carry crash cards

Fri, 18 May 2018

The Island's ambulance service is appealing for bikers to carry crash cards during the TT period.

The Lions Club Crash Card scheme gives the emergency services valuable information about an injured rider, such as any allergies or illnesses which could affect their treatment after an accident.

The card is placed in the lining of the rider's helmet, while a green dot is displayed on the visor to show paramedics that the biker is carrying the card.

Cards can be picked up from the police's Roads Policing Unit vehicles or the ambulance service over TT fortnight.
