Police urge public to keep vehicles, property secured

Sat, 26 May 2018

The Island's police are urging members of the public to keep their vehicles and properties secured following a recent spate of thefts.

The Isle of Man Constabulary revealed there have been a number of opportunist thefts recently where the incident could have been prevented had basic measures been taken.

Officers are appealing for Manx residents to ensure their vehicles, house doors and windows are locked day and night to ensure thieves don't strike.

The Constabulary says the Island's safe environment can often breed complacency and give opportunist criminals the chance they need.
