Electric bike catches fire at TT paddock

Fire crews were called to the TT paddock after a TT Zero bike caught fire.

The electric bike and associated battery equipment was in a van at the grandstand when the fire broke out.

A team of firefighters from Douglas attended at around 9am yesterday.

No-one was hurt in the incident, but fire safety officers say the incident highlights the importance of evacuating the area and contacting the emergency services.
