TT visitor fined for cycling on closed roads

Wed, 06 Jun 2018

An American TT visitor has been fined after crossing the TT course on a bicycle during Saturday's racing.

32-year-old Luke Browning was arrested after crossing the track from the access road.

In an appearance at Douglas Courthouse, Browning admitted going on closed roads and was fined £500 and ordered to pay £125 costs.

Police say the man co-operated fully with marshals following the incident and was moved to a safe location.

However, officers say they will continue to work with race officials to ensure the races are as safe as possible.
