Infrastructure Minister to face questions about Steam Packet takeover

The Infrastructure Minister will face questions about the Government buy-out of the Steam Packet Company at next week's sitting of the House of Keys.

Tynwald supported a £124m takeover of the ferry operator last month.

Douglas South MHK Kate Beecroft, who was the only member to vote against the purchase, will ask Ray Harmer to list what alternative options were considered.

The Government aims to agree a new strategic sea services strategy in the next year.
