Inflation falls to 2.2%

Mon, 18 Jun 2018

Inflation on the Isle of Man fell by almost 50% last month.

According to the latest Government figures, the Consumer Prices Index dropped to 2.2% in May, down from 4% in April.

The inflation report says housing, water and electricity were among the biggest contributors to the inflation rate.

Household equipment and kennel fees are both up by a fifth compared with last year, but fruit, air travel and pork have all dropped in price.
