Tim Baker named Children's Champion

Tim Baker MHK is the new Isle of Man Children's Champion

Ayre & Michael MHK Tim Baker is the Government's new Children's Champion.

Chief Minister Howard Quayle appointed Mr Baker to replace Garff member Daphne Caine, who resigned from the role last month.

The Cabinet Office recently changed the remit of the Children's Champion to focus on supporting children who have no other form of representation.

The position was created following a report by the Commission of Inquiry into the Care of Young People.
