The family of a local martial arts instructor have paid tribute to him following the inquest into his death.

The hearing revealed 44-year-old Scott Caldwell had a large amount of cocaine in his system when his body was found in a field in Braddan in February.

Mr Caldwell's family described him as a loving husband, son, brother, father, stepfather and friend who is dearly missed by all.

They also spoke of how he was someone people would come to for advice and that he would always be there for those who needed him.

The family also asked that they are left in peace to grieve.

The inquest heard that Mr Caldwell had been using cocaine to treat dental pain prior to his death.

The emergency services searched for Mr Caldwell after he contacted his wife to tell her he didn't know where he was, before a search team found his body later on the same day.

The coroner concluded his death was as a result of non-dependent abuse of drugs.
