Police appeal for help identifying driver

Police are appealing for information following a collision between two cars in Onchan.

A silver Vauxhall Astra hit a parked white BMW on Royal Drive in Onchan at around 12.25pm on Saturday.

As there were parked cars on either side of the road, there was only enough room for one vehicle to pass, and the driver of the Astra had to turn into the parked BMW to avoid a white Mercedes being driven in the opposite direction.

The hatchback Mercedes was being driven by a woman described as in her early 20s with long blonde hair, and left the scene at speed.

Anyone who can help identify the driver of the Mercedes is asked to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
