Inflation increases in June

Mon, 16 Jul 2018

Inflation on the Isle of Man increased to 2.6% last month.

The Consumer Prices Index rose by 0.4% in June - up from 2.2% in May.

A Government report puts the jump down to an increase in the price of crude oil, as well as the rising cost of public and private sector rent.

While many categories have risen in cost compared to this time last year, some foods - such as fruit, milk products and poultry - are all cheaper.
