Witness appeal following fatal Brandywell crash

Police are appealing for information following a fatal crash on the Mountain Road.

A 27-year-old motorcyclist from the UK died as a result of the incident at Brandywell on Saturday evening.

The Central Neighbourhood Policing Team is urging anyone who was in the vicinity around 7.30pm to come forward if they witnessed the collision or have other information on the crash.

The bike collided with a car, with all the occupants of the other vehicle taken to hospital and later released.

Officers are also thanking the members of the public who stopped to help the emergency services at the scene.
