Council seeks planning permission for new football clubhouse

Douglas Borough Council wants to build a new pavilion to replace the current structure used by two of the Island's football clubs.

The local authority says the current facility, which is used as a football club house and changing rooms, is in a poor state of repair and required ongoing maintenance.

The facility is owned by the Council but used by Pulrose United and Douglas Athletic, who are the tenants of the site.

The Council intends to demolish the current timber structure and construct a replacement building of a similar nature to provide the same facilities.
