Motorbike rider killed in three-vehicle collision

A motorbike rider has died following a three-vehicle collision near Ballaugh.

The 48-year-old male sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene as a result of the collision at 7.25pm yesterday.

A car and van were also involved in the incident, which happened on the TT Course in the vicinity of Ballaugh Bridge and Quarry Bends.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision.

Officers are also thanking members of the public who stopped to assist the emergency services.
