No road closure charge for Audi

The Department for Enterprise has confirmed Audi weren't charged for using for Mountain Road to film promotional material for their new Audi TT.

Road closures were in place on the route for seven days to allow the car manufacturer to film its latest model.

In response to a Freedom of Information request, the Department confirmed no money was sought as the launch was considered to be beneficial for the Island in terms of worldwide promotion.

The Department believes the reach of the publications covering the launch is over 30 million people.
