The number of visitors staying in paid accommodation on the Isle of Man has seen its biggest fall in over four years according to Government figures.

The Isle of Man Government's Quarterly Economic Report shows there were 51,955 visitors staying in paid accommodation in the three month period to June, which is a drop of almost 10% compared with the same time 12 months earlier.

Business visitors fell by a similar percentage, but those staying with friends or relatives increased by around four percent.

Almost 29,000 stayed with friends or relatives, while just over 12,000 came to the Island for business.
