Hosepipe Ban Lifted

A hosepipe ban on the Isle of Man has been lifted this morning.

Manx Utilities have thanked the public and businesses for considering using water wisely during the eight week ban.

Despite recording one of the worst raw water stock low points for many years and the below average rainfall during the ban period the reservoirs are now looking sufficiently healthy to allow the ban to be removed.

The water company issued 12 warnings to members of the public for ignoring the ban but were not fined.
