WWI Commemoration Statues In Onchan

Two specially commissioned statues to mark 100 years since the end of World War One will be unveiled in Onchan later.

The statues of two WW1 Tommies will be unveiled by Lieutenant Governor, Sir Richard Gozney, outside Onchan Commissioners' offices at 1pm.

Members of the public are being encouraged to attend the ceremony.

A series of special events in the village have been organised over the next five weeks to mark the end of the war and commemorate 100 years of the RAF.
