Spate Of Bike Thefts

Police are reminding the public not to leave valuables unattended after a spate of bike thefts.

We are being urged not to leave valuable possession in places that are easily accessible to others in order to prevent such thefts.

Officers say simple steps like using a bicycle lock and ensuring bikes aren't left somewhere they can be seen will deter thieves.

Having a security mark on the frame of the bicycle and keeping a clear colour photo of the bike could help recover the bike if it is taken.
