Storm Diana: Met Office issues new warnings

Ronaldsway Met Office has upgraded a weather warning on the Island as Storm Diana moves in.

A warning which is in force until 6pm tomorrow has been upgraded from yellow to amber.

An amber warning warns of a risk of injury, possible disruption and damage in areas affected, and potential impact on work, school and travel.

Meteorologists have also issued a yellow warning for wind which will be inforce from 10am to 8pm tomorrow.

Motorists are being warned to coastal overtopping on Douglas promenade (including walkway parking), Laxey and Ramsey promenades as well as Castletown prom and parts of Shore Road, Rushen and lower parts of Port St. Mary.

Meanwhile, the Steam Packet arewarning of potential delays and cancellations to tomorrow's sailings. A decision will be made by 7am on Wednesday morning.

Elsewhere, the Northern Civic Amenity site has been closed today due to the weather.
