Temporary patrol crossing begins in Douglas from today

A temporary School Crossing Patrol will operate in Douglas from this morning.

The crossing patrol will be based at the Woodbourne Road near the junction with York Road whilst road works take place.

The patrol will be in operation from 8:30am to 9am and 3:10pm to 3.40pm.

Police are reminding motorists to drive carefully in this area and be prepared to stop. Failure to stop could result in a fixed penalty of £120 and 3 points on your driving licence.

Pedestrians are also being urged to listen to the Patrol Officer's instructions, be patient and wait until he or she indicates it is safe to cross.
