Petition submitted to the RTLC objecting to Jurby bus changes

A petition has been submitted to the Road Transport Licensing Committee objecting to the replacement of regular buses to Jurby with on demand services.

The Committee is due to consider the changes next month.

Public transport officials say a dial-a-ride trial in the north has been a big success.

But critics claim say its planned extension to Jurby could lead to the village being ’cut off’ when the regular buses during off-peak times are replaced by the on demand service.
