A parish hall in the north of the Island is to receive a major facelift, with grant funding from the Manx Lottery Trust.
Built in 1939, Andreas Parish Hall is the venue for a number of community activities including badminton, bowls, birthday parties, WI meetings, exhibitions and is also home to a local youth club.
However, it is in desperate need of refurbishment with the much-used building deteriorating and affected by both wet and dry rot.
The Trust has pledged £10,000 towards the overall cost of the renovation which will ensure the hall remains fit for purpose.
