Charges dropped against Port St Mary Man

A Port St Mary man has walked free after an assault charge against him was dropped.

Richard Georgeson, of Queens Road, has appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.

The 53-year-old faced one count of common assault against his son on 19 March.

But the court heard that Mr Georgeson’s son no longer wanted to proceed with the case, as he wanted to reconcile with his father.
