IOM squad named for Netball Europe Open Challenge

Isle of Man Netball has named its squad for the Netball Europe Open Challenge next month.

The annual event is being held on the Island this year between 9-12 May at the NSC and will be contested between teams from Emirates, Gibraltar, Ireland, Israel, Cayman Islands and UK Armed Forces Netball,

The same event last year, held in Gibraltar, was the international debut for IOMNetball where they finished a remarkable second. 

The squad will once again be captained by Ashley Hall and vice captain Vivia Stawna, both veterans of Gibraltar.

The rest of the squad includes 7 further players from the award winning 2018 team: Rachel Boyd-Johnstone, Ellan Charmer, Chloe Gale, Kat Keeling, Gemma Kirkham, Jane Ryder-Clague and Lydia Shaw. They are joined by 5 players who will be earning their first caps : Molly Christian, Becky Hempsall, Paige Skillicorn, Jess Smallwood and Sara Watterson.
