Bride Commissioner lays on plant and seed swap

A Bride commissioner has organised a public plant and seed swap this weekend  as part of her efforts to breathe new life into the village.

The event will take place at Bride Methodist Hall from 2pm until 4pm on Sunday, with all funds raised going to charity Manx Wild Bird Aid.

Plants, seeds, and seedlings will all be welcome at the event, where gardeners will be able to exchange or take items after making a small donation.

Julie Billingsley, who was first elected as a commissioner in February this year, says she’d love to see more events being held in the village, and hopes the plant and seed swap could turn into an annual occasion.
