Liverpool drug smuggler appears in court

A man has appeared in court accused of trying to smuggle £120,000 of drugs to the Isle of Man.

Thomas Taylor from Liverpool appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.

The 46-year-old pleaded not guilty to unlawfully bringing six kilogrammes of cannabis to the Island and possessing the drug with intent to supply it.

There was no application for bail and Mr Taylor was remanded in custody.

He'll appear again via a video link from Isle of Man Prison in Jurby on May 28.
