Additional parking during promenade works

The Tevir Group has allocated part of the former Castle Mona Hotel site for additional car parking while refurbishment of Douglas Promenade is ongoing.

Part of the site has been made available to the Department of Infrastructure to enable the creation of a new temporary disc parking zone.

Entry to the parking spaces will be via the top of Castle Drive with vehicles exiting onto Central Promenade.

Contractors employed by Tevir Group are currently undertaking work on the former hotel in order to alleviate the damage caused by significant water ingress over the past few years.

While this remedial work is ongoing, planning continues in relation to the longer-term regeneration of the historic Castle Mona property.
