CALM creates badges to reflect Abortion Reform Act

CALM (the Campaign for Abortion Law Modernisation) is celebrating the promulgation of the Abortion Reform Act 2019 on Tynwald Day with pin badges carrying its pro-choice message.

The five different designs by local graphic designer Quinn Shipton include the CALM logo, the CALM ‘giving choice a voice’ strapline in Manx Gaelg (coraa sleih son reigh) and the ‘Handmaids’ who memorably appeared on Tynwald Day in 2017.

Production of the badges has been entirely funded by the generosity of CALM supporters, and CALM is grateful to them, to Quinn, to Daniel White of Design Syrup for the original logo and of course the anonymous Handmaids.

The badges, which are free, will be available on the Amnesty Stall in the Global Village on Friday, and from the many CALM supporters attending the Tynwald Day celebrations.
