Taser used on suspect

Police were forced to to deploy a taser gun on a person in the capital yesterday evening.

Officers had been responding to an incident on the Promenade at just after 7:45pm.

After a search of the local area the suspects were located.

During the arrest of one of the suspects officers deployed a Taser to subdue him.

The police have insisted this was an isolated incident and the public were not in any danger .
