Crews respond to kitchen fire

Firefighters responded to reports of a kitchen fire at home in Onchan yesterday evening.

Crews from Douglas were mobilised to the property in Ashley Park at just after 6:30pm.

The fire had been confined to an appliance and was out on arrival.

Crews checked the surrounding area using a Thermal image Camera to ensure that there were no hidden hot spots.

They ventilated the property and were on scene for around 45 minutes.
