Yacht suffering engine problems rescued

Ramsey lifeboat were called out to go to the assistance of a small yacht with engine problems on Tuesday evening.

The seven-metre yacht with one person on board was located around half a mile east of of Ramsey.

A water pump malfunction meant that it was not possible to use the engine.

The crew towed the vessel to seasonal visitor mooring buoys near to the Queen’s Pier.
