Ballafesson Road
Ballafesson Road

A programme of highway surface upgrades will take place around the Island over the next six weeks.

Micro asphalt will be used to resurface the roads which will help to disperse water from vehicle tyres during wet weather and reducing the likelihood of skidding.

The roads which are being treated are:

  • A5 Douglas Road (Orrisdale to Clagh Vane)
  • Cronk Honna (Tennis Cottage to Ballachurry Road)
  • Ballachurry Road (Ballakillowey Roundabout to Ballachurry Road)
  • Ballafesson Road (Bay View Road to Ballachurry Road)
  • Staarvey Road (Cronk-y-Voddy to Switchback)
  • Castletown Bypass (S100 start/finish straight)
  • Maynrys, Castletown (excluding roundabout)

There will be speed restriction signs at intervals along the roads being treated, and the speed limit must be adhered to until the signs are removed.

Work will begin on Tuesday.
