The penultimate round of the men's HSBC UK | National Road Series takes place over three days on the Isle of Man this weekend.

As part of the inaugural Manx International Stage Race, riders will tackle a 35-mile kermesse race on Friday evening, before a time trial and a 64.5-mile circuit race on Saturday. The event will conclude with a 133-mile road race on Sunday, by which point we will be closer to knowing the identity of the overall series winner.

Going into the final two rounds (the series concludes in Ryedale on August 18), SwiftCarbon Pro Cycling's James Shaw leads the series by 10 points from Matt Holmes (Madison Genesis).

Shaw is competing for the Great Britain Cycling Team at the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic this weekend, opening the door for Holmes to reclaim the leader's jersey going into Ryedale.

Also lining up in Madison Genesis colours this weekend will be the likes of Ian Bibby (currently eighth in the individual standings) and new national circuit champion Joey Walker.

Jacob Scott, of SwiftCarbon Pro Cycling (currently third), Steve Lampier, of Saint Piran (fourth) and Canyon DHB p/b Bloor Homes' Rory Townsend (fifth) will all also take to the start line in the Isle of Man.

Stage 1 – the Manx International Kermesse – will get under way at 7:30pm on Friday, with Saturday's stages: the Brother Hill Climb and the Billown Road Race, starting at 10am and 4pm respectively. The concluding stage, Sunday's Manx International Road Race, will take place on the TT mountain circuit, and begin at 1pm.
