Ramsey and Peel Coastguard were called out on Saturday morning following reports a woman had entered the water in the area of Queens Pier.
The crews located the woman around mile north of Dogmills where she was still in the water.
A crew member entered the water to talk and reassure the casualty who was then taken back to land for treatment.
