An Island student network will take part in a global event to raise awareness for climate change next week.

'Strike for Climate' will take place across the world between 20-27 September, with the Isle of Man Student Climate Network holding a protest on Friday 20th outside the Tynwald building in Douglas.

It's the sixth climate strike the student-led group will stage, with the group's mission and demands published on the event Facebook page.

The IOM Student Climate Network posted: 'We still feel that the Isle of Man Government has a Traa dy Liooar on Climate Change and aren't taking action behind announcing a "Climate Emergency". So join us at the 6th Island Climate Strike on the 20th of September at midday outside the Isle of Man Government buildings ('The Wedding Cake') and help make a difference.'
