Parking cones and signage from Sunday near Marathon Terrace to The Rutland

Douglas Promenade Refurbishment teams are advising the public that from Sunday there will be parking cones and signage in place between Marathon Terrace/Switzerland Road to The Rutland Hotel.

It’s to allow water drainage to be installed, replacing the previous cast iron system from the 1920s.

They say that more parking cones will be removed to open up areas for parking from Strathallan southwards and it’s hoped to make as much parking available as possible, while still maintaining a safe working environment.

The My Prom website indicates the area of Douglas Prom where work will take place.
