University College Isle of Man (UCM) will be opening its doors to the public next week for prospective students to see what life is like on campus.

People considering taking-up courses are invited to the annual Open Evening on Tuesday 19th November between 4pm and 7pm.

The event is open to anyone considering to further their education and meet with tutors to find out more about the range of courses on offer.

UCM staff will be on hand to show visitors around the main campus, so they can explore the facilities, which include purpose-built construction and engineering workshops, IT and cybersecurity labs and refurbished creative arts studios.

'Realistic working environments’, which are learning spaces that replicate workplace settings and are open to the public, with all kinds of classes and demonstrations taking place including coding and robotics, programming, CNC machining techniques, catering, hairdressing, beauty therapy and construction.

A new Music Performance and Production (Level 3) course is to be added to the range of full-time, part-time and apprenticeship programmes offered by UCM, for those interested in studying music production and performance.
