Samantha Barks to play Elsa in Disney's Frozen stage production

Manx actress Samantha Barks has been cast as Elsa in the West End production of Frozen.

The 29-year-old says she is "honoured" to have been picked by director Michael Grandage and Disney to play the famous character in the theatrical production.

The actress, from Laxey, found fame on talent show I'd Do Anything and starred in the 2012 Les Miserables film.

Frozen: The Musical will open in London's West End next October.
