Annual Douglas Santa Dash this afternoon

The annual Isle of Man Bank Santa Dash is taking place this afternoon in Douglas.

Every December participants dress up as St Nick to run from 12:30pm starting at Isle of Man Bank on Prospect Hill through Douglas Town Centre and back.

Prizes of £300, £200 and £100 will be given to the first three male and three female Santa's to finish, who will be asked to choose which local charities to donate their prizes.

Other prizes of £100 are awarded to the best dressed male Santa, female Santa and best dressed team.

Police are advising the public to expect minor traffic delays for approximately 5-15 minutes on Prospect Hill, Victoria St and Finch Road whilst the event takes place.
