Yellow warning for coastal overtopping

Wed, 15 Jan 2020

A yellow weather warning is in force for coastal overtopping today.

Forecasters at Ronaldsway Met Office say strong southwest winds will cause slight overtopping of waves and a little debris onto exposed coastal roads and promenades.

High tide is due at 2:35pm.

The areas affected will be parts of Shore Road, Rushen as well as Castletown Promenade, the northern end of Douglas Promenade and Fenella Beach in Peel.

The weather warning remains in force until 4pm.
