Numerous members of Tynwald highlighted their concerns over the amount of time the IOM Government is taking to fund care homes.

Lawrie Hooper MHK, Kate Costain MHK, Chris Thomas MHK, Chris Robertshaw MHK and many others expressed their dissatisfaction with the nursing and home care costs.

A new transformation programme set out in Budget 2020 explains how the transformation project would provide a new financial model by 2024.

The Budget also states that around 400 people who live in nursing homes will see the rate of their nursing care contribution increase by 3.6%, and 1,000 pensioners and 300 people with disabilities who get income support will benefit from a 5.2% increase in their pensioner and disability premiums.
