Damage to plantation caused by motorbike

DEFA are investigating damage caused to a woodland.

A motorcycle has damaged areas of newly planted woodland in Ohio Plantation in Sulby.

Riders are being reminded that it is an offence to stray from Byeways and Greenway roads in to woodlands or onto open heathland and the Department will prosecute those caught doing so.

This is also a sensitive time of year for wildlife especially for ground nesting birds. It is an offence to disturb these birds.
