Girlguiding collecting unwanted bras for charity

Thu, 25 Nov 2021

Girlguiding on the Isle of Man is working with the charity ‘Against Breast Cancer’ to collect used, surplus or even new bras to give them a new lease of life and raise funds for research into secondary breast cancer.

Women are asked to deposit their unwanted bras into one of the bright pink bra banks across the Island, which are located at Corinthians Football Club, Ballafletcher; Keystone Law, Old Courthouse, Athol Street, Douglas; the Bowl at the IOM Football Association HQ and FC IOM home games and Douglas Library, Victoria Street.

The bras will be sent to Africa, where they will be sold at affordable prices by small businesses, benefitting the local economy.
