£26,000 to fund new roof for St Paul's hall

A building with a pivotal role in the northern community is to benefit from a facelift thanks to funding from Manx Lottery Trust.
A grant of £26,000 has been awarded to Maughold and South Ramsey Parish Church Council to fund a roof replacement for St Paul’s Hall. The popular community hub, which is used by many groups in the local area, has been suffering from water ingress which caused significant damage to the facilities and dampness within the hall.
Work on the building, which is in use daily for a variety of social and fundraising activities including art clubs, dancing, brownies, and a community drama group, began at the start of February this year and will be completed before the end of the month.
