Coffee Mann sales raise over £1000 for the Great North Air Ambulance Service

Coffee Mann vending machines, by Manx TT racer Conor Cummins, have raised more than £1,000 for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) from the sale of hot drinks during the Isle of Man TT.

Throughout the event (May 27 to June 11), 25p from every Coffee Mann hot drink sold at participating fuel stations was donated to the GNAAS.

GNAAS aircraft cover an area of more than 8,000 square miles and on board are specialist doctors and paramedics who effectively bring the hospital to the patient.

After the success of the hot drinks donations, participating fuel stations now plan to support GNAAS during the Manx Grand Prix between August 20 and 28.

Sophie Snowdon, fundraising lead at GNAAS, said:

“This money will help our critical care team continue to respond to those who are severely ill or injured and provide them with vital treatment. “

GNAAS does not receive government funding and needs to raise £7.7m a year to remain operational. Currently it operates two helicopters 365 days a year and along with a night-time service in the North East and Cumbria on rapid response vehicles.

Last year (2022) marked the service providing 20 years of life-saving care. Throughout this time, it has responded to more than 23,500 incidents.
