UCM open evening now under two weeks away

Fri, 03 Nov 2023

UCM (University College Isle of Man) is holding its annual Open Evening on November 16, 4pm – 7pm at the Homefield Road campus in Douglas.

The event is an opportunity for anyone in the community to explore the University College’s wide range of courses, see the learning spaces, real working environment and facilities, and speak to the expert lecturing and support staff.

UCM’s Principal Jesamine Kelly said: “Whether you’re in coming up to your GCSEs or A-levels and considering what your next step, a mature student looking to reskill or an adult who wants to develop new skills or learn something new, our open evening is the perfect opportunity to see what we have on offer to support you.

“We’re proud to be able to provide such a wide range of subjects, and we regularly add new courses to meet the changing demands of students, industry and adult learners so even if you know all about us we still might surprise you.”

The Student Services and Admissions teams will be on hand to provide information, advice and guidance for anyone considering attending a course at UCM.

Additionally, the Access to Education team will be able to provide information for people with additional learning needs who might have questions about the support available to them if they choose UCM.

Visitors interested in Engineering and Motor Vehicle studies will have access to a guided tour of the William Kennish building, located just next to the Homefield campus which includes world-class equipment and a realistic vehicle workshop.
