Male charged with Burglary

Mon, 27 Nov 2023

Following a male being arrested in connection with a Burglary which occurred at a property in Stevenson Court, Douglas during the early hours of November 23, the Isle of Man Constabulary can now confirm a local male has been charged with this offence.

The male appeared before the Court on Saturday morning (November 25) where he was remanded at The Isle of Man Prison.

As the police continue with enquiries, it has recovered a number of items of property that it suspects to be stolen but are unable to attribute them to anyone at this time.

The Constabulary said it does know a number of insecure cars were entered in and around the same time the Burglary occurred, therefore are asking the public again to check their vehicles, any outbuilding or premises that may have also been left insecure overnight from November 22 into the early hours of November 23 to see if anything has been disturbed or is missing.

It is also asking any members of the public who have yet to be spoken to by Police to check their doorbell or dash cam footage as well as being vigilant to any items which may seem out of place or discarded in this area.

Anyone with any information that could assist the police in this investigation can contact Douglas Police Headquarters on 01624 631212 or anonymously via Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
